Toomba was founded in 1997 by Martijn Steltman and Sander Bruinsma with the name “IT-Design VOF”.

Our first office!

Our first office opened its doors in Rotterdam, 2004. Followed by the conversion from a VOF to a BV.
Bigger office in Lelystad!
2006
In 2006 we moved to Lelystad and opened our office at De Schans 19 where we enjoyed working for many years.
Toomba is celebrating!

In 2012 Toomba existed for 15 years and that was a good reason for a big party with our loyal customers in August 2012.
Toomba wins Gold FD Gazellen

Due to the high turnover and growth, Toomba won the Gouden FD Gazellen in 2014, which was awarded in Amsterdam by the Financieele Dagblad.
Toomba nominated for best company Lelystad 2015
2015
In 2015, Toomba was nominated for the BKL Trophy, best company in Lelystad. A beautiful company video was shot for this nomination.
Toomba starts 5-year LTVL sponsorship

Toomba video 'Made in NL'

Toomba got an introduction by the SBS6 program “Made in NL”. Ambition is something to strive for continuously. You must dare to follow your heart and believe in your own ideas. And whatever you put on the market, without perseverance it would ‘never’ have become what it is now…
2nd at Gazellen Awards

In 2015, Toomba was nominated again, leading to a second place with a minimal difference with number one.
Sponsorship charity Spieren voor Spieren

Toomba drove for the charity ‘Spieren voor Spieren Rally’ for the first time in 2016. This event is organized by the Rotary Gorssel. We still enjoy doing this after all these years. We sponsor the event and are committed to charity.
Partnership Toomba and Extreme Media

From October 1, 2016 there was a new collaboration between Toomba and Extreme Media. We combined Extreme Media’s design and front-enders with Toomba’s power of back-end developers. A great combination!
3rd nomination FD Gazellen Awards

In 2016, Toomba was nominated for the FD Gazellen Awards for the third time in a row. “We think it is very cool that we can compete again for this prestigious award, it is the crown on our work.”
Establishment of Toomba in Malaga

At the end of 2016, the establishment of our Spanish company Toomba Web Development S.L. became a fact. And we hired our first Spanish colleagues. At the beginning of 2017, the Spanish office in Malaga was increasingly given the Toomba look & feel.
Big celebration for 20 years of Toomba

Toomba existed for 20 years in 2017, we celebrated this with a big party in the new office. It was a pleasant evening with our customers and visiting colleagues from Malaga.

In 2017 we moved within the same street, to De Schans 18 in Lelystad. The new location is even closer to the center of Lelystad, is more accessible and has the great advantage of being able to expand further. This is also the building where Extreme Media is located.
Fusion Extreme Media and Toomba

At the end of 2018, Toomba and Extreme Media merged into Toomba Digital Agency from a long-standing collaboration.
Launch of own product: Apiify
2019
In 2019, Toomba launched its own product Apiify, a cloud-based solution for linking software. Apiify makes software integration easy.
High Five Learning with Cyber Awareness

Toomba starts offering Cyber Awareness courses in its new digital learning environment, High Five Learning.

Super proud that we have existed for 25 years and this time we celebrated in southern Spain. Wonderfully relaxed and gained new ideas to serve our customers in the Netherlands and Spain even better in the coming years.
