Aluxe is a leading German producer of high-quality aluminum patio covers. With over 150 employees, they manufacture these products in their factory and market them through their international dealer network. The entire process, from sales to production and delivery, is automated via this ERP system.
Legacy transformatie: Uitdaging met impact
The organization faced a major challenge: their customized ERP system with SAP integration was a severely outdated application and no longer met contemporary demands and wishes. This system encompasses a dealer portal, a quote module, and many crucial business processes, from purchasing, sales, production, inventory, waste management, and more.
The complexity of the ERP system and the necessary modernization made this project a challenging yet rewarding assignment.
Result: A future-proof ERPsystem
Our approach began with a discovery phase, where we thoroughly analyzed the existing system. We mapped out its current status, the ERP system’s architecture, the database, interdependencies, and the hosting provider’s requirements.
Extensive upgrade
It quickly became clear that an extensive upgrade was necessary, and there was a high probability that many functionalities would no longer work with the implementation of this new setup.
Through a combination of replacing, rewriting, and adding both old and new code, we successfully completed the modernization. All functionalities are back up and running after extensive testing. The renewed ERP system, including the dealer purchasing portal, is now completely up-to-date and ready for the future.
Stable and reliable
The transformation has resulted in a more stable and reliable web application. This has not only improved performance but also created the possibility to add new functionalities. It also provided support for adding new products.
ERP Migration
After successfully modernizing the ERP, the client also decided to migrate the entire application to our environment so that we can offer full management and support. This way, Aluxe can further maintain its position as a reliable partner in the market.
